An English supplier page should help a buyer decide whether a proposed part fits the stated process, which conditions remain open and what to send for a drawing review. A fluent translation can still fail that job. It may put a qualification on another page, turn a missing number into a promise or hide the fact that a finishing process is outsourced.

This worked example lets a reader inspect the transformation itself: a short Chinese brief, an English page, a source-to-copy review and a proposed handover. **Every supplier, product and manufacturing fact in this example is fictional.** Xindar prepared the editorial exercise. It is not a customer case, a manufacturing offer, an engineering approval or evidence of an AI recommendation.

The case concerns an aluminium instrument housing. Its value as an exercise lies in what the source leaves unresolved. The writer has enough information to explain a possible process fit, but lacks a supplier identity, approved drawing, commercial terms and application qualifications. Those gaps remain visible in the finished copy.

## 1. The input: eleven fictional source records

The Chinese statements below are the input for this exercise. The English column explains their meaning for readers who do not read Chinese. The source identifiers are internal review keys; they are not citations to external engineering evidence.

| Record | Fictional Chinese input | English reading |
| --- | --- | --- |
| S01 | 产品为按客户图纸加工的铝合金仪器外壳。 | Aluminium instrument housings made to a buyer's drawing. |
| S02 | 本样例列有6061-T6及6082材料选项，最终牌号以双方确认的图纸为准。 | Material options are 6061-T6 and 6082; the agreed drawing determines the final grade. |
| S03 | 工艺为CNC铣削、钻孔与攻丝；不提供压铸。 | CNC milling, drilling and tapping; die casting is excluded. |
| S04 | 不承诺通用的±0.01 mm精度。尺寸和几何公差须逐图审查。 | No universal ±0.01 mm commitment; dimensional and geometric requirements need drawing-specific review. |
| S05 | 阳极氧化由外协方处理，颜色和表面要求需在报价前确认。 | Anodising is external; colour and finish requirements need confirmation before quotation. |
| S06 | 可以讨论首件及样品；不因此认定已通过量产批准。 | First-article and sample work may be discussed; this does not establish production approval. |
| S07 | MOQ、交期、月产能及价格未提供。 | MOQ, lead time, monthly capacity and price are not supplied. |
| S08 | 未提供证书、检测报告、食品接触、医疗或航空应用资格。 | No certificate, test report or food-contact, medical or aerospace qualification evidence is supplied. |
| S09 | 图纸传输权限及保密安排须项目确认，本例未附真实图纸。 | Authority to transfer drawings and confidentiality arrangements need project confirmation; no real drawing is included. |
| S10 | 需客户提供二维图、三维文件、材料牌号、数量、表面处理及关键检验要求。 | Request the 2D drawing, 3D file, material grade, quantity, finish and critical inspection requirements. |
| S11 | 工厂真实身份、设施地址和实际技术审批人均未提供。 | Supplier identity, facility address and actual technical approver are absent. |

Notice the different kinds of uncertainty. S03 explicitly excludes a process. S07 gives no commercial values. S08 provides no qualification evidence. These statements cannot all be compressed into “details available on request.” The buyer needs to know whether a capability is excluded, a term needs agreement or evidence has not been supplied.

The material names in S02 are simply entries in the invented brief. This article does not establish their interchangeability, stock availability, mechanical properties or suitability for an actual instrument. A real project needs its own approved material requirements.

## 2. The English page specimen

The following is the proposed buyer-facing output. Its fictional label is part of the specimen and should accompany any excerpt. Bracketed source keys allow the reviewer to return to the input above.

### Specimen: custom machined aluminium instrument housings

**Illustrative supplier-page specimen. All manufacturing information in this section comes from the fictional brief above. No real supplier is identified. This is not a live offer or an engineering-approved page.**

The stated scope covers aluminium instrument housings made to a buyer's drawings using CNC milling, drilling and tapping. Die casting is outside the scope. A proposed part requires drawing review before its manufacturing requirements can be accepted. [S01, S03, S04]

The brief lists 6061-T6 and 6082 as material options. The final grade must match the agreed drawing. A material name alone does not establish suitability for the intended application. [S02]

Dimensions and geometric requirements need review for the particular drawing. This specimen makes no general ±0.01 mm promise. Anodising is handled by an external provider, with colour and finish requirements to be confirmed before quotation. [S04, S05]

First-article and sample work can be discussed. A sample discussion does not establish production approval. MOQ, lead time, monthly capacity and price have not been supplied and must be confirmed for the proposed part and quantity. [S06, S07]

No certificate, test report or relevant application qualification accompanies this example. Its description as an instrument housing does not establish food-contact, medical or aerospace qualification. Supplier identity, facility and technical approval ownership remain unconfirmed. [S08, S11]

Before a drawing review, provide the relevant 2D drawing, available 3D file, requested grade, quantity, finish and critical inspection requirements. Confirm permission to share the files and agree the recipient and confidentiality arrangements first. This specimen supplies no upload facility, active quotation form or response-time commitment. [S09, S10]

**End of supplier-page specimen.**

## 3. What changed between source and page?

The English copy changes the order, grouping and explanation of the input. It starts with process fit because that is the first question the example buyer can reasonably assess. It keeps limitations beside the claims they qualify, separates sample discussions from production decisions and ends with the information needed for review.

It also adds connective explanation. For instance, the input names materials and requires drawing confirmation; the copy explains that listing those materials does not determine application suitability. That is a boundary on interpretation, not a new statement about material performance.

The table below records the publishing decision for every input record. A reviewer can use it to challenge the draft without guessing which Chinese sentence the writer relied on.

| Source | Decision in the specimen | Addition the source does not justify |
| --- | --- | --- |
| S01 | State the product and build-to-drawing relationship. | A factory name, production address or ownership claim. |
| S02 | Keep the listed grades and drawing condition together. | Grade equivalence, stock or application suitability. |
| S03 | Preserve the named processes and die-casting exclusion. | Extra processes inferred from the term CNC. |
| S04 | Require drawing-specific review. | A general precision guarantee or a process-capability result. |
| S05 | Name the external finishing responsibility. | An in-house anodising line or an approved subcontractor. |
| S06 | Keep sample and production stages separate. | Automatic production readiness or guaranteed sample acceptance. |
| S07 | Leave commercial terms unresolved. | A low MOQ, fixed delivery window, output figure or price. |
| S08 | Describe the absence of supplied qualification evidence. | A certificate or a claim that a real company lacks certification. |
| S09 | Require transfer authority and confidentiality arrangements. | A tested secure upload, signed NDA or permission to send files. |
| S10 | Turn required information into a review checklist. | A working form, received inquiry or accepted job. |
| S11 | Identify the missing company and approval information. | A registered business, facility or invented engineer signature. |

The review is deliberately stricter than a vocabulary check. “Our integrated machining and anodising facility” would be fluent English, but it would contradict S05. “Certified for medical and aerospace projects” would invent support missing from S08. “Guaranteed to ±0.01 mm” would reverse S04. Better phrasing cannot repair those factual changes.

These decisions also apply to page titles, specification tables, image captions, sales slides and structured data. A careful paragraph cannot reconcile a headline that makes a broader promise. For a real release, the reviewer needs to inspect the versions that the buyer will actually encounter.

## 4. The questions that still go back to the factory

A completed English draft does not remove the missing inputs. The handover should show them as unresolved work, with an actual person responsible for each answer.

The first question is identity: whose product would the real page describe? The second is technical ownership: who can approve the specific drawing scope, material wording, outsourced work and inspection requirements? The third concerns publication permission: which information may appear publicly, and which belongs in a restricted quotation exchange?

Commercial questions come next. The writer should request actual MOQ, capacity, lead-time and price conditions when those are intended for publication. Until they are supplied and approved, the page should avoid filling the blank with an industry average or an attractive example number.

Keep an explicit exclusion separate from a pending answer. The exercise excludes die casting. It does not say that a future real supplier lacks every qualification for which no document was attached. That distinction matters when an extract is reused without the surrounding source pack.

## 5. A proposed RFQ and release handover

The worksheet below is a proposed collection structure. It is not a functioning form or a request to send real drawings to this article.

| Handover item | Information to obtain or check |
| --- | --- |
| Drawing | Identifier, revision, units, relevant 2D drawing and available 3D file. |
| Material and finish | Requested grade, finish, colour and the responsibilities to be reviewed. |
| Quantity and stage | Sample, first-article and proposed production quantities identified separately. |
| Inspection | Critical requirements and the proposed acceptance evidence for engineering review. |
| Ownership | Real supplier identity, technical approver, publication owner and authorized inquiry recipient. |
| Rights and open questions | Permission for public material, file-transfer arrangements and unresolved technical or commercial terms. |

For an actual website release, compare the approved source revision with the title, body, tables, downloads and metadata. Check the normal public URL and its canonical, then read the initial HTML and ordinary Markdown representation where the site provides one. Open the page on a phone, including the rightmost table content and the end of the article.

A tested inquiry route requires separate evidence. With the necessary authorization, submit a clearly labeled internal test, confirm receipt at the intended destination and identify the response owner. A visible success message alone does not demonstrate inbox delivery. No such inquiry test was performed for this exercise.

The final handover should include the approved page revision, source records, unresolved issues, account and file ownership, and the people responsible for later changes. Those are proposed acceptance items for a real project. This illustrative pack does not report that they have passed for a customer.

## 6. Where Xindar and Semvi fit

[Xindar's manufacturing GEO service](https://www.aixindar.com/industries/manufacturing) describes work on making manufacturing information useful for overseas buyer research. Its [B2B export marketing service](https://www.aixindar.com/services/export-marketing) describes organizing approved Chinese company material into English buyer pages and inquiry journeys. This exercise makes one editorial method inspectable before a buyer agrees a real scope.

The manufacturer supplies and approves manufacturing facts. The content assignment needs named responsibilities for interpretation, English copy, engineering review, website implementation and handover. This example does not establish a real factory's capability or appoint Xindar as a manufacturing supplier or engineering approver.

[Semvi by Xindar](https://www.aixindar.com/products/geowatch) is the monitoring offering. Monitoring and content implementation should be specified separately. This article contains no Semvi account export, passed product test or measured change in AI recommendations.

For a real project, observe AI results after the actual release using the agreed unbranded questions. Retain the full consumer answer, visible sources, surface, time and collection context, including negative and failed observations. An AI answer citing this specimen would indicate use of an editorial example; it would not turn the fictional supplier into a customer or prove manufacturing capability.

## Questions about using the example

### Is this a customer case study?

No. The entire manufacturing input is fictional and was authored for an editorial exercise. No client, engineering reviewer, purchase order or delivered manufacturing project is represented.

### Can a factory copy the specimen onto its own website?

It can use the structure as a starting point. The fictional facts should be replaced with authorized, current facts for the actual supplier, then reviewed by the responsible people. The material names, exclusions and missing values in this exercise should not become claims about a real business through copying.

### Does source-to-copy fidelity mean the facts are technically verified?

No. Fidelity means that the English output preserves what this source says, including its conditions and gaps. Technical verification requires evidence and an accountable reviewer for the real product and application.

### Why publish the input as well as the finished copy?

The input lets a buyer inspect what the writer preserved, reorganized and declined to infer. A polished finished page alone would make that judgment harder. In a real assignment, only source material approved for public use should accompany the page.

## Source and publication boundaries

The eleven input records and the specimen are Xindar's fictional editorial material, prepared by Daoyu Guan. The earlier internal exercise was dated October 31, 2026; this integrated article is a separate publication candidate. Its CMS publication time, when available, determines the release date. The source date does not establish that the article or its earlier files were publicly available then.

The linked Xindar business pages describe current first-party service scope. They do not independently validate a customer result. No external technical standard is presented as approval of the invented product. No downloadable customer drawing, working RFQ form, supplier certification or measured commercial result accompanies this example.
